Started as a family business in 1979, Outback is an established premium supplier to the barbecue market, and a leading brand of choice among visitors to garden centres and other outlets throughout the UK.
Today, Outback has no less than 24 different charcoal and gas barbecue models to help tempt the taste buds of alfresco diners, and a brand new range of cooking accessories, tools, and the latest free range selection of camping stoves and heaters.
In 2011, the company made a tasty impact on leisure industry commentators when lifestyle judges from the leading consumer watchdog Which? and theMail on Sunday newspaper awarded Outback barbecues ‘Best Buy’ in their independent surveys.Independent testers were invited by Which? to sample 22 barbecues from across the British supply chain, when they rated three Outback models as ‘Best Buys’, while the Mail on Sunday’s survey panel awarded Outback their prestigious five-star accolade.
The Outback Spectrum 3 Burner Hooded Gas Barbecue, the Excel 300 Gas and the Omega 200 Charcoal Barbecue took top places in Which?’s results, whilst the Mail singled out the Outback Gas Meteor as its only five-star buy, and awarded a four-star rating to the Omega 200 Charcoal.
This year, one new ‘hot property’ in the Outback range is the Meteor Select stainless steel barbecue. This includes a ceramic side grill producing more than twice the heat of a conventional gas burner sealing in the delicious meat flavours with a criss-cross finish.
Lighting-up the barbecue is now a focal point of garden and patio entertainment among families and friends, and more so when holidays at home become a feature of tighter leisure budgets. After all, we’re sure you’ll agree that ‘It’s simply a matter of taste’.
HomeTrends Home & Garden are the local distributors for Outback barbecues, outdoor ovens and barbecue accessories in Malta.
